The Buccleuch Arms Hotel - Scottish Inn of the Year 2008/2009
The guest accommodation at The Buccleuch Arms Hotel has been recently transformed as part of an ongoing improvements programme, and the results are stunning. The new look is set off by large wall-mounted head boards and furnishings, complimented by matching curtains, bedding, chic mirrors and throws. The bathrooms are complimented by smart White company toiletries. Guest bedrooms are serviced daily and generally by 2.00pm and check out is by 11.00am on the morning of departure unless a prior arrangement has been made.
All rooms are located on the first floor of the hotel and comprise a mixture of double, twin and king size beds. We welcome families, however we do have limited accommodation by way of family rooms, therefore it is best to contact reservations to answer any questions you may have.

"Staff were very friendly and swift in service. An ongoing refurbishment programme of all 19 bedrooms aims to bring unique character to each room without losing the traditional feel of the hotel. Our room was cosy, clean and fre4shly decorated in a turquoise and gold theme. A bustling bar serves hearty pub fare all day and an open fire makes it an agreeable option for an evening meal. An extensive menu features a good selection of local beef, fish and vegetarian dishes. A more formal dining experience in available in the Blue room restaurant. Neighbouring Melrose is a charming town with a host of inviting shops and places to eat and drink. Rugby is big in the Borders, while some 20 golf courses are within easy reach and golfers are well looked after here. If you fancy a flutter, there are regular race meetings at Kelso. Walking, fishing and shooting enthusiasts are also well catered for here."Moray Tait - Sundday Herald - 6th May 2007
