Girl's breaks away

We understand the need for a little bit of rest and relaxation prior to your wedding day. It's nice to spend quality time with your bridesmaids, friends or family. We can offer a few really lovely ideas from millinery to massage.

Day Courses

We have just launched a new partnership with millinery designer Yvette Jelfs to offer you the chance to book a hatmaking workshop at The Buccleuch Arms Hotel. You can make your very own wedding headpiece, corsage or hat, whilst enjoying time with your bridesmaids, friends or family. Each participant will make their own head piece from a gorgeous selection of fabrics, feathers, beads, ribbons and frou frou! There is no minimum number of attendees (maximum 35).

The class kicks off with coffee & shortbread at 10am, followed by a hat trying on session and a masterclass in what shape suits everyone's face shapes and colouring. This is followed by a brief history of hats and then you decide what you'd like to make. There's a break for a 2 course lunch with a glass of bubbly.

From 1pm you will begin creating your amazing creation, by 3.30pm you will be ready to take some pictures of your finished masterpiece!

Cost £85 per person

Extend your hen night in the Scottish Borders by staying overnight at The Buccleuch Arms for a special rate £50 per person (based on two people sharing a twin room)
