The Scottish Borders and surrounding countryside is just perfect for shooting of all shapes and sizes. Why not see what we can do to make your sporting break that bit more special?

Billy Hamilton, owner of the Buccleuch Arms Hotel, is a keen shot and can organise walked up drives for shooting parties. We also offer packed lunches, a drying room and storage for golf clubs and safe gun storage. We also welcome well behaved dogs and have a small enclosed outdoor kennel at the rear of the hotel. Braidwood Clay shooting range is ten minutes away for that essential practise and the Border Gun room is a two minute walk away.

A Warm Welcome

You can be assured of a relaxing welcome with roaring log fires on cold days back at the hotel. Look forward to locally sourced food including plenty of fresh fish and game. If you are staying with a party of friends, we are able to offer a private dining experience.

We can advise and help with days to suit all types of shooting parties. From pigeon, walked up rough days, driven shooting, duck and geese.

New for 2009/2010, we have introduced Game Shooting Packages in association with Lammermuir Game Services at Westruther.
