The Buccleuch Arms Hotel - Scottish Inn of the Year 2008/2009
On Saturday 15th May, Rachael Hamilton, Lizzie Waldie, Kate Farnsworth and Jules Scott will set off from St. Mary's Loch and walk an arduous 29 across Border hills, roads and tracks to Melrose Rugby Club. All money raised will go to Hearts and Balls, the rugby charity and veteran's charity Poppy Scotland. Rachael would be delighted if you could dig deep and sponsor Buccleuch Babes "the more money we raise, the more motivated we will be to see me through this gruelling challenge" Please log on to www.heartsandheroes.co.uk to pledge a donation.
UPDATE 1st June 2010.
The Buccleuch Babes completed their 29 mile walk just before 6pm on Saturday 15th May, 10 hours and 52 minutes after starting. there was a big support team for them at various points of the day incorporating first aid, coffee, tea, sandwiches and of course Birthday cake to celebrate Kates ..th! The finish line was followed by a massage, plasters and a couple of well deserved beers at the end of the day. The Girls have managed to raise a staggering £3520.00 between them and is all donated to the Hearts and Balls and the Poppy Scotland Charities. So well done.
