The Buccleuch guests feel the warmth one again

Our vintage boiler recently packed in, but now we are cosy again thanks to a Greives, the plumbers from Selkirk.

Just as the weather was considering getting cold, our beloved old hotel boiler packed in.  Fur gilets and cardigans were the order of the day until Grieves, the plumbers were able to carry out the work.  We survived with help from friends giving us heaters...a plea was sent out on Facebook and suddenly we were in possession of 24 heaters.  Thanks to Anne Lee of Mainhill, the Kingsknowe, Galashiels, Clintlodge, Rachael Wright, Diane Laing and father-in-law, Robert Hamilton.

The new condensing boiler will not only be approximately 40% more efficient, but will hopefully help boost our water pressure in the guest bedrooms.

What they say about us...

"I just thought I would write a quick note to thank you for such a lovely stay, being in the trade ourselves, many pubs and hotels can be a bit of a let down as their standards aren't the same, but at the Buccleuch we felt completely relaxed and comfortable. The meal we had in the restaurant, and the breakfast could not be faulted, and the refurbished room was lovely and very peaceful! We will certainly pass on our recommendation to our own customers and good luck for the future."
