Come along and sample some of the finest Scottish Real Ales in the Huntsman Bar at the Buccleuch Arms Hotel

Any real drinkers coming to the Buccleuch Arms Hotel know that we only have one hand pump.  This means that our real ale is incredibly fresh and never sits around long enough to go off!  However, due to the way we coordinate our ordering you will never see the same beer twice in any given period.  So what you drink tonight, could well have changed by tomorrow and will be different again at the weekend. 

There  will be beers that you prefer and ones your maybe not so sure about but it's all about personal taste and educating your palate. 

We would appreciate your input.  Below is a list of suppliers who we buy our real ale from and we intend to take more of your advice in future.  Please drop us an email.   

  • What are your favourites?
  • Which beers would you like to see more often?
  • Which beers did you not like?
  • Can you recommend beers you like that we could stock?
  • If we stocked bottled ales, which ones?
  • Are there any dates you would like us to stock a particular beer?
