Golf: Freedom of The Fairways

Golfing breaks represent the biggest sporting market share here at the Buccleuch Arms Hotel. Due to this we offer as much advice and help on courses, tee times, meal bookings, buggies, travel time and storage as we can.

The freedom of the fairways represents the best value golf ticket available in the Borders and full details are in the Sports Breaks section of this web site. Residents discounts for a number of local course can be made by contacting reception.

Valid between 1st April - 31st October 2006, Freedom of the Fairways adult and junior golf passports are available for 3 and 5 days and both offer unbelievable value. For example, if you play 36 holes a day for 5 days it will cost you only £10 per round!

The 3 Day Golf Passport: up to 6 rounds of golf over 3 consecutive weekdays (weekend 4 rounds) - costs £72 per person (£33 for juniors, aged 17 and under).

The 5 Day Golf Passport: up to 10 rounds of golf over 5 consecutive weekdays (weekend 8 rounds) - costs £99 per person (£49 for juniors, aged 17 and under).

Weekend Golf: Players wishing to play golf on a Saturday and/or Sunday can exchange 2 freedom of the fairways vouchers in return for 1 round of golf. All weekends must be booked with clubs in advance to avoid disappointment as there are a number of club competitions at weekends which take priority.

Seniors Golf: Golfers over the age of 55 years are now able to purchase 3 and 5 weekday senior passes that offer 3 rounds of golf over 3 consecutive weekdays for £44 or 5 rounds over 5 consecutive weekdays for £57. (Please note that senior golfers wishing to golf over the weekend would have to purchase a full adult pass).

Additional Costs: Please note that the championship Roxburghe Golf Course near Kelso charges a £20 Adult/£10 Junior supplement per round and Cardrona near Peebles charges a £15 (Mon-Wed) and £20 (Thurs-Sun) supplement per round. Supplements are payable on arrival.
