Guest Rooms
As part on an ongoing three-year refurbishment programme, backed by major investment, we embarked on an ambitious project to transform the hotel's 19 en suite guest bedrooms. We engaged the services of interior designer Lorna Wilson-Dodds to create a stunning new fabric story for each room. The results are stunning, with the cool "boutique" look set off by large wall-mounted head boards and furnishings, complimented by matching curtains, bedding, chic mirrors and faux throws. The theme extends to the very smart White Company toiletries in the revamped bathrooms. All rooms are located on the first floor and comprise a mixture of double, twin and King size beds.
We welcome families, however we do have limited accommodation by way of family rooms, therefore it is best to contact reservations to answer any questions you may have.
Guest bedrooms are serviced daily and generally by 2.00pm and check out is by 11.00am on the morning of departure unless a prior arrangement has been made.
Garden
Our quiet garden is a great place to relax for a drink or some lunch throughout the summer months. An enclosed garden means it's also safe for children to run around, make use of our swings and slide whilst the grown ups carry on enjoying some peace with any luck!
Weddings
We would be delighted to host your wedding reception here, for a small reception of up to 30 guests our Blue Room Restaurant can be booked privately or for a larger party the Salmon Room can cater for up to 80 guests for a wedding meal. The Salmon Room has its own dance floor, fully stocked bar and facilities.
The Hotel holds a wedding licence which means that you can get married on the premises or in the Garden.

As no 2 weddings are the same we need to treat every wedding plan differently.
Meetings
Meetings are an integral part of the Buccleuch. Our location lends itself very well to business people from the Borders or indeed those who use the hotel as a meeting place from far and wide. You can be assured of the best attention when you book a meeting here as we are here to meet your exact requirements.
Salmon Room
Our largest and most flexible room for conferences, meetings, private parties, dinners, functions, weddings and gatherings. The Salmon Room has its own dance floor, fully stocked bar and facilities.
We can set up the room to your own specification for meetings and conferences and use of any equipment we have.
Although we do have a selection of sample menus and ideas to choose from, catering for your event is entirely to suit your occasion, particular taste and budget and is quoted individually as no 2 functions that we do are the same.
Small Meeting Room
A small room, located by reception, ideal for boardroom meetings in comfort and private. This room is available to hire by the hour and perfect for up to ten people. Refreshments can be ordered in advance or by simply asking at reception. Meals can be taken in the room itself, in the bar or the restaurant.
This room is also used regularly for private dining for a special occasion.
Lounge
Our lounge, on the ground floor by reception is a large comfortable room to pass the time away and in the colder months is dominated by a roaring log fire. What better place to relax after a day in the great outdoors.
The lounge can be used in the daytime for private meetings for a more relaxed atmosphere or indeed for use as a breakout room.
Pet Friendly
Pets are very welcome throughout the Hotel, with the exception of the restaurant, whether you are staying the night or just visiting. Any pets who will be in a guest bedroom overnight will, however, incur a supplement of £5.00 per night.
Non Smoking
Smoking is prohibited throughout the Hotel in accordance with the government legislation on smoking in public places.
Access
We would like to think that we have made some progress with regard to the Disability Discrimination Act, however a 17th Century Inn does not lend itself entirely to the aforementioned. Our staff here understand what is required from this and are very willing to deal with any person with a given disability.
Access to the Hotel is on the ground floor which is level throughout. Access via wheelchair is very straightforward and with our new toilet which is also wheelchair friendly this is now being put to good use.
All our guest bedrooms are located on the 1st floor to which there are 20 steps with handrails all the way. We do not have any specifically adapted bedrooms at present and no lift.
We do not currently operate a hearing loop system however there are plans for this in the course of the year.
We will very soon be marking our entrance to the Hotel with 2 or maybe 3 disabled parking bays depending on space.
