"As Captain of the society thank you and your staff for the absolutely excellent stay we enjoyed at the Buccleuch Arms Hotel. In every respect our stay was enjoyable. The rooms were great and the attitude and service of your staff deserves the highest praise. We were particularly impressed by the attention of our needs which resulted in your allocating us a private dining room on the Saturday night for our evening meal. The food was superb and the services by your waitress was especially good.
Thank you again."

"Staff were very friendly and swift in service. An ongoing refurbishment programme of all 19 bedrooms aims to bring unique character to each room without losing the traditional feel of the hotel. Our room was cosy, clean and fre4shly decorated in a turquoise and gold theme.
A bustling bar serves hearty pub fare all day and an open fire makes it an agreeable option for an evening meal. An extensive menu features a good selection of local beef, fish and vegetarian dishes. A more formal dining experience in available in the Blue room restaurant.
Neighbouring Melrose is a charming town with a host of inviting shops and places to eat and drink. Rugby is big in the Borders, while some 20 golf courses are within easy reach and golfers are well looked after here. If you fancy a flutter, there are regular race meetings at Kelso. Walking, fishing and shooting enthusiasts are also well catered for here."

"Thank you for a great stay, all your staff were so very friendly and could't do enough to help. We had visited once a long time ago but were really impressed with the refurbished rooms. Towel rail in the bathroom wouldn't turn off and was a bit hot, and my husband thought there were too many cushions on the bed but I suppose it's part of the look."

"I just thought I would write a quick note to thank you for such a lovely stay, being in the trade ourselves, many pubs and hotels can be a bit of a let down as their standards aren't the same, but at the Buccleuch we felt completely relaxed and comfortable. The meal we had in the restaurant, and the breakfast could not be faulted, and the refurbished room was lovely and very peaceful! We will certainly pass on our recommendation to our own customers and good luck for the future."

"Dear Irene,
Just to say we have missed you but hope you had a good holiday. We have had a most enjoyable stay at the Buccleuch where we have been very well looked after. Thanks very much indeed for your efforts on our behalf with the golfing arrangements. As usual they have been excellent for which we are most grateful. "

"All staff very friendly and helpful, but in particular Steve in the way he put himself out to accommodate us to enjoy our stay. We hope to be back one day and will most surely recommend the Buccleuch Arms Hotel to all our friends and business contacts. Only one thing would have made stay better and that would have been warmer weather!"
