What they say about us...

Sunday Herald Supplement: Something for the Weekend

"Staff were very friendly and swift in service. An ongoing refurbishment programme of all 19 bedrooms aims to bring unique character to each room without losing the traditional feel of the hotel. Our room was cosy, clean and fre4shly decorated in a turquoise and gold theme. A bustling bar serves hearty pub fare all day and an open fire makes it an agreeable option for an evening meal. An extensive menu features a good selection of local beef, fish and vegetarian dishes. A more formal dining experience in available in the Blue room restaurant. Neighbouring Melrose is a charming town with a host of inviting shops and places to eat and drink. Rugby is big in the Borders, while some 20 golf courses are within easy reach and golfers are well looked after here. If you fancy a flutter, there are regular race meetings at Kelso. Walking, fishing and shooting enthusiasts are also well catered for here."
