Significantly, we were also delighted to receive Scottish Inn of the Year award.

We have 19 fresh and bright en-suite guest bedrooms.  Teresa and her team of housekeepers take great pride in providing our guests with sparkly clean and comfortable bedrooms. 

Guests can choose from Standard, Classic or Superior rooms. We have double, twin and king size rooms and cater for single occupancy too.

Set yourself up for the day with a good selection of breakfast choices, including a traditional Scottish Grill. Chef patron, Billy Hamilton and Head Chef, Gareth Gilder create delicious lunches and dinners every day using lots of seasonal and fresh local produce. In the bar, we serve real ale from the Borders Brewery and offer a well priced and undemanding wine list. 

Take a look at where we are on the map, The Buccleuch (pronounced ‘bucloo’) is a five minute walk from the River Tweed.  For walkers, we are along the St. Cuthbert’s Way and near to the Southern Upland Way.  For golfers, St. Boswells has a great golf course.  The village also has a cricket pitch, garage, a co-op, a country sports shop and a fabulous book shop and cafe, called Mainstreet Trading.

If you are celebrating, the Salmon Room has just been voted Best New Wedding Venue of 2009 and provides the perfect contemporary backdrop for your party.

We also have a civil license and can accommodate ceremonies seating from up to 30 in the Garden Restaurant and up to 100 in the Salmon Room.

The garden can also be used for a marquee wedding for up to 200, using either the Salmon Room or the Garden Restaurant for the ceremonies beforehand.

Our chef, Gareth Gilder, and her team use as many locally sourced ingredients as possible in our effort to support business in the Scottish Borders countryside. We keep the dishes simple the flavours speak for themselves.

Food is served 7 days a week in the cosy Huntsman Bar or in our Blue Room restaurant for a more intimate dining experience. Complimenting the food is a well-stocked bar and a select wine list featuring the best wines from around the globe. Keep an eye out too for our guest ales which are a big hit with the locals.
